Why don't I see birthdays?

By design. iOS already shows birthdays in Calendar, so Other Dates leaves them alone and handles every other date — anniversaries, "first met", work milestones, and any custom label you add to a contact.

I changed a date on a contact. When does the calendar update?

On the next sync. Other Dates watches for changes and reconciles automatically; edits to a contact's dates flow to the paired calendar, and the event links back to the person's card.

How do I add a date on my Mac?

macOS Contacts hides it — there's no "add date" row like on iPhone. Select the person, click Edit, then use the menu bar: Card > Add Field > Date. Click the label next to the new date to change it, or choose Custom… to create your own.

How much does Other Dates cost?

The free version is fully functional and syncs dates for up to 10 people, across all your pairings. Other Dates Unlimited — a one-time purchase, no subscription — removes the limit. It covers iPhone and Mac together and supports Family Sharing. People who already sync are never removed by the limit; it only holds back new people past the tenth until you unlock.

Which accounts work?

Any contact source on your device — iCloud, Exchange, CardDAV servers, or on-device lists — paired to any calendar you can write to.

I use more than one device. Will events be duplicated?

No. Other Dates is multi-device aware: when more than one of your devices creates events, duplicates are detected and cleaned up automatically — no action needed. The Status screen notes when another device is also syncing.
